Marvel star Jonathan Majors has been sentenced to probation, avoiding jail time for assaulting his ex-girlfriend. Majors, known for his role in “Creed III,” was also ordered to complete a 52-week in-person batterer’s intervention program and continue with mental health therapy after being found guilty of assault and harassment.
The charges against Majors stemmed from a dispute with his former girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, that began in the backseat of a car and spilled into the streets of Manhattan. Jabbari testified about the pain she suffered after Majors allegedly assaulted her, describing him as controlling and prone to explosive rage.
During the trial, security footage was shown of Majors allegedly manhandling Jabbari and shoving her back into the car. Despite the jury convicting Majors of assault, his lawyer claimed that Jabbari’s accusations were fabricated to seek revenge on an unfaithful partner.
Following the verdict, a source confirmed that Majors had been dropped by Marvel Studios, where he was set to reprise his role as Kang in the Multiverse Saga. Despite the legal troubles, Majors’ career has been on the rise, with roles in popular series like “When We Rise” and the Marvel universe film “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.”
As Majors navigates the aftermath of his legal troubles, fans and industry insiders will be watching to see how this impacts his future projects and career trajectory.
