YouTube Music users can now enjoy the convenience of offline downloads on the platform’s web app, as reported by 9to5Google. This new feature allows users to save their favorite songs and playlists for listening when they don’t have an internet connection, just like on the mobile app.
Although the feature has been in testing for some time, it is now rolling out more widely to users. Some lucky individuals have already been greeted with a message announcing the new capability next to their Library tab.
To save music offline on YouTube Music’s web app, users simply need to navigate to an album or single’s page and click on the download button located between the “Save to library” and three-dot overflow menu options. The downloaded content will be stored in a “Downloads” tab within the user’s library, with filters available for easy sorting.
It’s important to note that offline downloads on the web app will count toward YouTube Music’s 10-device download limit, and content will expire if the device is not connected to the internet at least once every 30 days.
With this new feature, YouTube Music is making it even easier for users to enjoy their favorite music anytime, anywhere, whether they’re on their mobile device or desktop. Stay tuned as the feature is expected to become available to all users in the coming days.
